Dial Shah Rukh Khan for a song: Kar le kar le tu ek sawal

Since they are trying hard to do things as differently as possible, ever since Shah Rukh Khan took over Amitabh Bachchan’s mantle in Kaun Banega Crorepati, now expect a music video on the game show.

The video of Kar le kar le tu ek sawal, the teasers of which will soon go on air, features King Khan. In fact, the whole thing was the actor’s idea.

“SRK came up with the idea of making the video,” says choreographer Ganesh Hegde, who has directed the video and lent his voice to it.

The shooting of the three-minute visual will be over in the next few days. “It is themed on the show’s tagline that one question can change your life. We’ve already shot for three days with Shah Rukh,” says Hegde.

Yuppie music director duo Vishal-Shekhar have composed the tune. “We’ve kept it young. It takes forward Shah Rukh’s comments and questions. His voice has also been retained. This number could do rounds of discos,” says Vishal Dadlani.

From the drums to the guitar, even the song’s instrumentation has Khan’s inputs. “He used to be present while recording,” adds Dadlani.

“We have ensured that Shah Rukh dons a unique style in the video. The choreography is also very different from what he has ever done before. The focus is more on a hip-hop style,” Hegde adds.

The video will be telecast on January 22 on Star Plus as a prelude to KBC. Khan wears dark glasses, reminiscent of Don. “It’s a delight to choreograph him, as he can carry off a sequence with his sheer charisma,” says Hegde. Read
